Eli Learns About Black History Month
Eli Learns About Black History is a warm, engaging children’s book that introduces young readers to the importance of Black History through curiosity, imagination, and everyday experiences.
When Eli begins learning about Black History Month, he discovers inspiring leaders, creators, inventors, and heroes—both famous and familiar. With guidance from his family and teachers, Eli learns that Black History is not only about the past, but also the present and the future. Most importantly, he realizes that his own story matters too.
Written especially for children ages 2–6, this beautifully illustrated story encourages pride, kindness, and confidence while helping children understand that Black History is an essential part of American History. Eli Learns About Black History invites all children to celebrate differences, dream big, and see themselves as part of the story.
Eli’s Space Adventure

As Eli pretends to blast off with his friends, Tai and Kamari, children learn about each planet in a fun and engaging way while discovering the importance of caring for Earth. This beautifully illustrated picture book supports early science learning, curiosity, and social-emotional development.
Designed for children ages 2–6, Eli’s Space Adventure is ideal for classrooms, bedtime reading, and families who love stories that inspire learning through imagination.
We offer something for everyone.
Exploring the World with Eli offers something for everyone—educators, parents, and faith-filled families. Through engaging stories and thoughtfully designed resources, Eli helps spark curiosity, build character, and support meaningful learning at home, in the classroom, and beyond.
For families seeking Christian-centered content, the series also includes a faith-based sub-series, Exploring God’s World with Eli, which gently introduces prayer, biblical values, and a Christian understanding of the world—all with the same warmth, wonder, and heart that define Eli’s adventures.
LaToya L. Drummond is a special education teacher, trauma-informed practitioner, mental health counselor, and mother who is deeply passionate about supporting young children as they learn to understand themselves and the world around them.
She is the creator of Exploring the World with Eli, a preschool book series inspired by real-life moments and everyday experiences. Each story is thoughtfully designed to help toddlers and preschoolers navigate familiar situations—such as family gatherings, school routines, friendships, emotions, and imaginative play—while building social-emotional skills in a developmentally appropriate way. The series encourages curiosity, emotional awareness, and confidence, meeting children right where they are.
With a master’s degree in mental health counseling and years of hands-on experience working with children of diverse needs, LaToya brings both professional expertise and heartfelt understanding to her work. Her approach blends education, emotional safety, and storytelling to create meaningful learning experiences for young readers and the adults who support them.
When she’s not writing or working with children, LaToya enjoys listening to music, spending quality time with her family, and making desserts. Her greatest inspiration comes from motherhood and the belief that every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and empowered as they explore the world.
